About ITS in India
We established a presence in India in 2003 with the opening of our machine shop facility in Mumbai in order to service a growing oil and gas market.
Four years later in 2007 we opened a second facility – this time on the east coast in Kakinada to gain exposure to an emerging deepwater market. This was a significant industry milestone with our machine shop the first of its kind to open with the objective of servicing this market.
Our activties in India comprise equipment rental, fishing and casing running services - all of which is supported specialised machine shop services from our in-country infrastructure. In recognition of our service excellence, we hold several API product licences and premium licences to thread connections on a range of pipe and tubular equipment.
To underline our commitment to India, we have recently relocated to a new purpose-built facility in Taloja (near Mumbai). This increases our manufacturing capacity of drilling equipment - a service that includes our proprietary drilling jar product - and provides ongoing support to our Indian customer base.
