ITS Group becomes first in the UK to receive prestigious quality licence award
ITS Group, a leading supplier of drilling equipment and services to the global oil and gas industry, has increased capabilities at its Aberdeen machine shop facility having received a leading industry quality assurance accreditation.
The facility has recently acquired Fearnley Procter NS-1 ™ Approved Service Centre status by Fearnley Procter Group, a global company focused on the provision of knowledgeable solutions to prevent drilling incidents occurring downhole. The result of this award gives ITS recognition for its quality and process control procedures for new and refurbished drilling equipment usedduring the drilling and completion of oil and gas wells.
The achievement represents a significant milestone for ITS as it becomes the first in the UK to have a facility accredited under the Fearnley Procter NS-1™ approval. This gives further assurance to ITS’s clients that its processes and procedures conform to the highest industry standards.
Founded in 1986, ITS’s Aberdeen facility specialises in the manufacture, repair and inspection of drilling tools and equipment to customers throughout the North Sea. The in-house machine shop capability supports the company’s wider offering of providing equipment and services for customer drilling activities. This complete approach ensures customers receive a fast and efficient turnaround saving valuable rig time at competitive prices.
